The Perfect Getaway
The home at Clearview Farm is an Italianate Victorian that was built in 1855. The house was originally owned as a summer home by Captain David E. Whitney and his wife Cordelia. In the 1980's the house was lovingly restored combining its original splendor with modern conveniences. The home is decorated with elegance and warmth and appointed with many antiques.
Clearview Farm is located in Northeast Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains Region in Susquehanna County. All four seasons offer something for everyone. Spring Peepers and the return of robins herald the emergence of life and a promise of warm days to come. Trout fishing starts! Summer brings fishing, hiking, antiquing, and county fairs. Autumn brings spectacular fall foliage as well as Craft Fairs, Octoberfest at Elk Mountain, and hunting at nearby State Gamelands. Winter is a true Wonderland and brings excellent snow conditions for downhill skiing and snow boarding at nearby Elk Mountain and cross country skiing as well as snow mobiling on the nearby Northeast PA Rail/Trail (see their link on the "Local Attractions" page).
